Where Worlds Meet

Artist Statement: I used a scratch board and scratched a wolf with a city in the background. I found this piece amusing because it shows how the two worlds of nature and the city are so close together in Alaska. I felt like most people don’t realize how close we are to nature until they come to Alaska. I was hoping to capture how in Alaska we go from city to forest really quickly. I was hoping to show the world how Alaska is way different from the rest of the world. I feel like I captured how close we are to nature and how vast nature is compared to our cities.
