Artist Statement: This piece was made to depict rolling flower hills across Homer, Alaska. But more so I was intrigued by depth and movement throughout the clouds by using color. The most challenging part of this piece was stippling each individual flower. Although in the end result, the flowers created movement and contrast between the background and foreground. I hope my viewers take away playfulness and the beauty of summer in Alaska after viewing this piece.
