Artist Statement: I chose to have the sunlight more saturated and darken her face and the shadows around the squares of sunlight because it shows the mystery of this subject while also having her pop out. This conveys that this subject is waiting patiently for someone or something to brighten her figure so she can be unambiguous to her world, making her heavily dependent on them instead of making herself known.
