The Tale of The Two Kids

Artist Statement:I am Milly Gumley and I’m the artist of “The Tale of the two kids. A Lot of my artwork is based around feelings I experience, and Tales I listen too. In this case, “The Tale of the Two Kids” is based on how I feel when I’m with my best friend. In all my art I enjoy putting a sense of oddness about it. I love replacing humans with animals to show a sense of playfulness or humor. The reason I make art is to have people use their imaginations to really put themselves in the role of the story. I love to make people think. My favorite mediums are canvas and acrylic paint. I usually start by layering piece by piece, starting with the background, then the subject and adding shading and details as I go.
