Artist Statement: “The red words on this art piece represent many words and sentences that echo through public schools. The yellow on the piece shows loss of one’s self due to the echos and actions of those words and sentences.
The hand represents “don’t speak up or you’ll be in trouble”. Showing the lack of voice a student is allowed to have.”
