Talon

Artist Statement: This photograph makes me think of staring directly at something. Like when you see something interesting and can’t help but look right at it. Talon looks right back at us from the picture. There’s something authentic about his direct gaze. The light on the right side of the picture shines on Talon’s face. Showing the light source inside of frame feels honest. Sometimes people use photography to trick or fool us, but we shouldn’t forget that at its core, it’s about capturing what’s really there. I hope you see honesty in my work.
