Simply Koi

Artist Statement: It started out as a simple idea to draw koi fish because I wanted to get into the Japanese styled art, but then I thought that just a koi fish would be to boring so I wanted to add more into the idea. So I looked for ideas and then I thought about adding a skull into it so after figuring out how a skull would sit in water I started drawing. This piece is one and the first art piece that I took my time with and payed attention to detail, this art work helped with how fast I draw and showed me patience.
