School, Sleep, Repeat

Artist Statement: When you are going through a rough patch in life (at least for me), the days sort of meld together. Having to do the same thing everyday gets exhausting, and life gets reduced to your “necessities.” That’s what I wanted to express in this artwork. I’ve struggled with mental health for as long as I can remember and my goal of making art is to spread awareness, and to show people that you are not alone. I used watercolor for the base of the portrait, gouache for the background, colored pencils, fine liners, and oil pastels to add details.
