Artist Statement:For my art, I honestly just create whatever idea comes to mind that I like best- with or
without some special meaning. My Octopus Repousse piece was a
result of me just making an idea came to mind that I liked, having already wanted to
do some sort of octopus art. I wanted it to have clear and neat
colors, the white being a suggestion (in which I am highly thankful for) to brighten it and really
bring out those shapes. It was made with a thin layer of copper bent to shape, painted, framed
in black and thus colored on. I really want to make pieces that stand out, while
having their own unique flair. I believe that was achieved well and am personally happy
with the end result.
