Notes of Remembrance

Artist Statement: I’m fascinated by how still-life compositions can tell stories. Each object has its own meaning, like symbols in a story, and together they convey ideas and tales to those who see them. I’ve been playing the violin for six years now, and during the pandemic, music became a source of comfort for me. This piece of art draws inspiration from my study of Dutch masters from the Baroque period, especially the style of still life known as vanitas.
