Nostalgia

Artist Statement:The picture brings up feelings of nostalgia. This piece is a gouache painting of an old picture of myself and dog from 2018. I have moved away from the house and my dog was younger then. Now her muzzle is gray, her eyes have white spots making it hard for her to see, and she is hard of hearing. In the painting, we are both much younger. My dog’s name is Penny and I have had her for ten years. She likes going on walks and eating food she is not supposed to eat. I wish we would have more time together, but I will always cherish this memory and painting of her.
