Artist Statement: “King of the Beasts” is a reflection on human creativity and the way ideas take root, grow, and intertwine over time. The piece incorporates tree root symbolism: how thoughts, emotions, and artistic expression spread like roots beneath the surface- hidden yet deeply connected. The central figure, with a clock embedded in its chest, represents time’s influence on creativity, reminding us that inspiration is both fleeting and eternal. The ceramic textures and organic forms give a raw, almost ancient feel, as if they are relics of past imagination now resurfacing. Surrounding images weave together history, culture, and personal expression, showing that creativity is never isolated-it branches out, connecting past and present. This collage invites the viewer to consider how ideas grow, evolve, and leave a lasting imprint on the world, much like the unseen roots of a towering tree.
