Artist Statement: king crab – As a resident of Alaska, I have had the privilege of connecting with nature in our beautiful capital and one of my favorite activities with my dad is crabbing out on our boat. Though most people covet the inside of these crabs I have been taught to appreciate their tough and spiky shell from my dad.
