Fever Dream

Artist Statement: People always talk about “back in my day….” My day is still proceeding, though. In my time, I watch high school students among me struggle to know where they fit into the grand puzzle of life. I watch as panic consumes my peers as they fear choosing the wrong pool or not, or starting the journey of life fast enough, or being too scared to start. This art piece represents the panic, fear, and slight anger in the fever dreams. These negative feelings are represented through the use of hands tugging away at their dreams, leaving the doubt present in life.
