Drive Safe

Artist Statement: In this piece, I wanted to communicate a sleepy and content feeling, like how I feel making the drive home after a late night out. The drive home is usually very long and monotonous, spending a lot of time in my car alone, surrounded by a few other cars full of people experiencing the same drowsy peace, and admiring the world as it passes by. I wanted to share this feeling of being separated but not alone as an observer of the world by shooting the photo from behind the glass of my car window. I chose to leave the cars out of focus in this photo to emphasize that distant, fuzzy feeling.
