Artist Statement: This drawing is inspired by a recent broken arm. This is the 3rd time I’ve broken this arm, and it has been frustrating me. It makes me feel as if my body is falling apart. I represented this feeling by showing the fingers brutally dismembered. The limited values also allude to how I feel a bit gray about this repeated experience.
