Box of Chocolates

Artist Statement: This is a piece from my AP Drawing portfolio. My sustained investigation is about sentimentality. I make all my work using Micron pens and stippling, and it’s time-consuming. During this pains-taking process, I tend to think about the image and the ways that it connects to things that I’m sentimental about. In this drawing, I started it just before Valentine’s day and spent about a month creating it, during which time I contemplated all the people I love and all the love in my life.
