Baleen Sketching

Artist Statement: The reason I was motivated to make the Baleen Sketching drawing was mainly to express our cultural and traditional lifestyle. The baleen piece was to show that we are excellent hunters, find beauty in the ocean, and that it always provides us with blessings. We depend on it to survive and feed our community. The baleen comes from an animal that lives in the ocean, which is called the Baleen Whale.
