Artist Statement: Growing up in Southeast Alaska, I spent a lot of my childhood wandering the shores. The colors of those memories evoke a nostalgic feeling for me. In my art work, I wanted to create functional pieces that mimicked that same sentimental color pattern; portraying the green southeast fjord lapping at the seaweeds, brown rock, and sand of my childhood.
