Category: Drawing – 2018
Student/Artist’s Name: Olivia Booth
School: South Anchorage High School

Artist Statement:

For this piece, I was inspired by culture of other nations and the ideal western standard of beauty. I believe that identifying with native culture is beautiful, so I wanted to bring light to the uniqueness of heritage. I think this piece brings a positive interpretation of what it means to be apart of native culture and takes a different angle on an ideal style of beauty.
