Artist Statement: I created this image by dropping single drops into a clear glass bowl with water in it. Timing the camera’s shutter with the rebound of the initial drop was very difficult and it took a long time to get an image I was satisfied with. In Photoshop, I shifted the colors from turquoise to purple because I think the deep, vivid color is more striking.
