Tough Hide

Artist Statement: I made this piece mostly just for fun. We were assigned this project in my sophomore year as a charcoal study, and I had originally only made the middle piece. This year, I decided to complete the whole drawing myself, so I went back and made the horns. It's the largest artwork I've made, and I'm honestly pretty proud of it. It was a really fun piece with no meaning, which made it less stressful to make. I had barely used charcoal prior to the original and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. The artwork reflects my journey through art and coming back to a favorite to make it better.
