Ellen and Grandma – I Know the End

Artist Statement: This mixed media art piece is a representation of a song from the album "Punisher" by Phoebe Bridgers. The song "I Know the End" is about questioning religion, coming to terms with mortality, and leaving behind old ways or belief systems within your lineage. I typed out specific song lyrics onto watercolor paper. From there I glued them onto the pencil and charcoal drawing of my grandma and myself. The other words are her handwriting from the original photo of us.
