Louie

Artist Statement: In this piece, I had fun working with the bright colors of the oil pastels to contrast the difference between Louie’s dark fur and the warm highlights from the sun. This was one of my first pieces using this medium, so I enjoyed experimenting with different layers and blending techniques to make him feel alive. My goal was to capture the unique way Louie’s curiosity shines through his expressions.
