A Helping Hand

Artist Statement: When making the collage, I tried to highlight the influence of unnecessary help, and help that harms more than helping. Ultimately, they are doing things that may not be seen as hurtful, but are. Two details that highlight these issues are the turtle: the turtle is being held by a hand that seems to be dripping in red pollution. The girl is split between being polluted and nature. Her eyes are removed to show that she might not know what she is doing, or how it may be harmful.
