Ultraviolence

Artist Statement: When I did this piece I was listening to a Lana Del Rey song, and it sort of inspired the piece. The song is about a girl who is abused by her lover but to her it feels like love, so for the piece I wanted to do something that was ugly, yet beautiful. I tried to make it somewhat dark so I chose colors that give off an ominous aura, like green and black. Art is subjective, but I feel like my idea of the piece and the meaning behind it can be assumed by everyone.
