Artist Statement: I desperately needed inspiration for my AP 3D project. I knew I wanted to make something frog related and it needed to be functional as a houseware item. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I could make a stackable hanging item that could function as a pourer. I struggled at first to make the frog portion. I made it too small at first, then with the remade body, I had to gut it out to make it thin enough it wasn’t bulky, but also still thick enough to hold its weight and the pouring cups. The hands were probably the hardest part to make as I wanted to make them look like frog feet, but at the same time I needed them to be functional and to hold up the pouring cups. Overall, the project was a learning experience on problem solving and sculpting larger items
