Fisheye

Artist Statement: Fisheye explores my home’s relationship with salmon. Every salmon is referenced from a different fish my family has caught. Salmon have a prominent role in my community, inspiring formline, printmaking, jewelry, design, and cuisine. The blood still dripping from the mouths of each fish is a reminder of the environmental impact of our fishing, and a warning to maintain our gratitude for this critical resource.
