Leaving Home

Artist Statement: In my piece I wanted to capture the moment of going into adulthood. I really wanted to emphasize texture, to show realness.
The main setting takes place in Alaska where I grew up. Sometimes in order to grow mentally you need to leave the places you’re used to.
