Evening Roses

Artist Statement:Sam BigalkeI have been studying ceramics for two years. This is my first ever slip mold. The slip molds are a fun and new experience, and I did not know how it would turn out in the end. I also added roses from a mold onto the vase after I cast it. I think using two mold shapes, the vase and the rose, is unique effect. I chose the dark red and black mixture mainly because it is a clean combination. I plan to continue to make slip molds in the future.
