My piece is a culmination of various different utensils. The landscape was washed in watercolors, pen is used to outline majority of the piece, which was previously pencil. Colored pencils coated the winged watchers. I was attempting to convert a cold formidable yet aesthetic vista. I drew inspiration from Caribou Lakes snowy capped hills, the staunch lofty pine and cotton trees cloaked in winter’s cool embrace. All of which is reminiscent of my experience exploring the terrain via ATV’s and snow machines. Personally, my piece holds a stark tale of man versus nature, as well as a keen perspective from the flock of omnipotent watchers.
