March 1, 2014 ASAA

(1st Place – Multicultural)

Title of Art Piece: Ovoid Creation
Category: Multicultural Art – 2014
Student/Artist’s Name: Brendon Swearingin
School: Thunder Mountain High School
Grade: 12th
Artist Statement: We were learning how to make vectors in Illustratror and we were learning about Northwest Coast design from our Artist in the Schools, Alison Krein. I made an ovoid, turned it, copied it and reflected it, and it looked like a heart. then I made a u-form around it and reflected it. It could be a logo, but it was inspired by Native Alaskan design.
Artwork Dimensions: Its a vector, so it can be as big as you want
